Theatre Lab Alums at The Capital Fringe Festival

June 5, 2015DC’s annual theatrical whirlwind known as the Capital Fringe Festival has selected a few shows to extend through the last weekend of July, including three shows with Theatre Lab connections.
The Greatest Science Fiction Show No One’s Ever Seen – written by Pamela Leahigh, directed by Sara Bickler and featuring Jennifer Berry, Christopher Holbert and Paolo Santayana – all of whom are Honors alums. This tale about a young woman and comic-book store owner’s search for a long-lost TV show takes a surreal turn. (Originally performed at Hope Operas as a fundraiser for The Theatre Lab’s Send a Kid to Camp campaign.)
The House of Yes – featuring Honors alum Claire Schoonover. A young woman and her family are troubled by the return home of her twin brother, who surprises them with his fiancee.
Play Cupid – stars 2015 Honors Conservatory alumni and classmates Ezra Tozian, Klenn Harrigan and Kara Turner. The audience serves as a dating app helping five people looking for love.
