How to Participate
Dramathon participants work with and perform alongside DC area directors, actors, and playwrights in a one-of-a-kind theatre experience—with no previous acting experience and no memorization required! Whether you’re a Theatre Lab student or alumni, a fan of local DC theatre, or just want to support the arts, we welcome everyone to the stage!
When you participate in the Dramathon, you help raise money for a great cause. All funds from the event benefit our Send a Kid to Theatre Camp campaign, which provides scholarships to children and teens for our renowned summer camps and institutes.
We’ll set up a donation page for you on our website.
Raise a minimum of $100 by 9:00 AM on April 6, 2026 to remain eligible to participate.
After April 6, raise as much money from your friends, family, colleagues and community for a great cause! The more scholarship money you raise, the bigger and better roles you’ll be assigned to play.
Once you’re cast, invite your family and friends to the Dramathon 2026 event on April 27, 2026.
Don’t stop raising money after you get cast your role! More prizes will be awarded the night of the event.
