Your contribution will play a pivotal role in helping us bring the artistic and real-life benefits of theatre education to our community through a wide variety of classes, programs, and performances.
We’ve strived to make sure our programs remain accessible to all, especially underserved communities. In 2023, The Theatre Lab provided more than $165,000 in need-based aid for our summer acting camps and musical theatre institutes. This year, we will reach more than 800 vulnerable youth and adults through our award-winning free Life Stories drama programs.
You can personalize your gift and encourage others to give to The Theatre Lab when you can choose to sponsor a program or event. If you’d like to create a lasting legacy through planned giving, we can discuss how you can name The Theatre Lab in your estate plan, create an endowment in your name, or make a stock gift. Please contact Terah Herman-Saldaña, our Development/Outreach Manager, at 202-824-0449 or firstname.lastname@example.org today to learn more about these opportunities.
You can also donate to The Theatre Lab through the Catalogue for Philanthropy.

The Theatre Lab Life Stories Programs
Under the careful guidance of Theatre Lab instructors, individuals from historically under-resourced communities create and perform original dramatic works based on lived experience.. This creative process not only yields artistic results but also brings about profound, positive changes in the lives of participants. Through this transformative experience, participants often discover a newfound sense of self-esteem and heightened awareness of their creative capabilities. They become a part of an artistic ensemble, alleviating feelings of isolation and fostering a sense of belonging. The participants gain emotional fulfillment as they navigate their past experiences, offering a creative outlet for personal growth and self-discovery. At Theatre Lab, we believe in the extraordinary power of storytelling to transform lives, and we invite you to be a part of this heartwarming journey.
