Join us for an evening honoring the graduates of the Arts Institute for Creative Advancement’s (AICA) Class of 2026 as they launch their careers in technical theatre! The ceremony features graduate speeches, guest artists, and a reception to follow. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and celebrate with this year’s graduates.

About the AICA

Launched in 2023, the Arts Institute for Creative Advancement (AICA) is a paid workforce development and apprenticeship program in technical theatre production for young adults ages 18-25 who have encountered obstacles to livable wage employment. To date, 87% of AICA graduates are working consistently in professional theatre and event venues.

This groundbreaking career-readiness program was formed by the founding members of the DC Arts Education Alliance and is led by The Theatre Lab, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, and Life Pieces To Masterpieces. The AICA proudly brings together over 30 of the DMV region’s most respected theaters and arts institutions to provide our apprentices with high-quality training, career development, and opportunities for employment.
