The Theatre Lab’s Cabaret Benefit Raises $518,000 in Historic Night of Fundraising

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, our annual Cabaret Benefit Dinner + Auction raised a record-breaking $518,000 in support of our mission—making this the single largest night of fundraising in The Theatre Lab’s 33-year history.

More than 550 members of our community, from the world’s leading arts advocates to Theatre Lab students of all ages, came together for an unforgettable celebration of shared purpose.

We pay special acknowledgment to the evening’s honoree, Betty Siegel, whose remarks reminded us what it truly means to build a more equitable arts community:

“When you leave here tonight, I want you to leave here with the resolve to say yes. To see accessibility as an asset—not as an onerous burden, but as creativity in action. Say yes to confronting discrimination and removing barriers that never should have been there in the first place.”

In this context, the success of this evening is especially meaningful. We remain as dedicated as ever to opening the doors to theatre education as widely as possible, so that every person who needs it may find a place of belonging at The Theatre Lab.
