Thomas Workman has been making socially-conscious theatre and film in the Washington area for more than 20 years. The former Artistic Director of City at Peace and Associate Director of Everyday Theater, two award-winning organizations, Thom has also directed plays and films for Sunshipp Productions, the Anacostia Oral History Project, and the Crossroads Theater Company. He has taught drama workshops for The Bethesda Academy of Dramatic Arts, the NAMES Project, City Lights School, and the I Have a Dream Foundation. Thom has been a director of The Theatre Lab’s Life Stories program since 2005 where his recent projects include conceiving and co-directing My Soul Look Back and Wonder, an original play featuring homeless women in recovery, which performed in The Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theatre.
