The Addams Family Musical Young@Part®
We’re excited to announce The Addams Family Musical: Young@Part®, performed by an incredible cohort of rising 7th and 8th graders from our youth summer camps!
The Addams Family is a comical feast that embraces the weird in every family. In this youth theatre adaptation of the original Broadway hit musical, Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love – and high antics ensue when she has to introduce him to her family. This story puts a spooky, charming musical twist on the wacky cast of characters we know and love, from Gomez and Morticia to the ever-faithful Lurch.
With laughter, learning, and a touch of spooky charm, this show is a celebration of our tween campers’ unforgettable summer adventure in the arts! The Addams Family Young@Part® is the culmination of The Theatre Lab’s Musical Theatre Camp for Tweens, a four-week intensive summer camp designed for rising 7th and 8th graders.
Campers hone their performance skills through workshops on acting, singing, and dance led by experienced teaching artists. Along the way, participants also explore costume design, set building, and prop design. The camp emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and self-expression, offering a supportive environment where every camper’s unique talents shine.
Details on reserving seats will be shared soon. At this time, we are prioritizing access for family and friends of the cast. Limited general admission seats will be made available closer to the performance. Save the date, and follow us for updates!

SUPPORT OUR CAMPERS
For more than three decades, The Theatre Lab has provided award-winning youth summer programs to hundreds of kids from all over the Washington metropolitan area.
We remain dedicated to offering as much financial aid to our campers as possible, with the help of generous community support. In 2024, our Send a Kid to Camp campaign raised over $140,000 in scholarships, making it possible for 168 campers to take part in our acclaimed acting camps and theatre institutes.
This year, we’re 68% of the way towards our 2025 fundraising goal. With your gift, we can ensure that young people continue to have access to the transformative power of the arts. Click here to support our campers today!
