Atlas Presents: Broadway Masterclass with The Theatre Lab

Mark your calendars—acclaimed performers Christine Dwyer (Wicked, Waitress) and Matt DeAngelis (Hair, Waitress, American Idiot) return next month for our Broadway Masterclass series, presented in partnership with Atlas Performing Arts Center!

See the craft of Broadway training in action as Christine and Matt lead a master class with Theatre Lab students. You’ll observe a dynamic blend of live performance and coaching in a rare, behind-the-curtain look at how Broadway-caliber artistry comes to life. Then, Christine and Matt take the stage themselves for a special mini-concert!

This night also marks something bigger—we’ll be celebrating the official announcement of The Theatre Lab’s resident partnership with Atlas Performing Arts Center!

Since 2023, Atlas has been the home stage for our renowned Musical Theatre Institute for Teens, hosting beloved Theatre Lab productions like Hadestown: Teen Edition, Titanic, and Carrie. Atlas also serves as a core teaching partner for the Arts Institute for Creative Advancement, the workforce development program, co-run by The Theatre Lab, that has been transforming DC’s technical theatre industry.

For decades, our organizations have grown side by side—each committed to creating welcoming, nurturing spaces in our DC community where artists can tell stories at the intersection of arts and humanity.
