Intensive training in musical theatre skills with one of Washington’s most popular and award-winning performers. Attention will be paid to all aspects of musical performance and auditioning, including enhancing musical phrasing and improving vocal production.
Unless otherwise indicated below, there are no formal prerequisites for this class—students of all experience levels are welcome! However, if you have no prior acting experience, we suggest taking Intro to Acting and/or Beginning Scene Study to introduce you to core techniques and help you build confidence in the fundamentals of acting.

Classes are kept small to ensure every person receives extensive personalized feedback from instructors and meaningful collaboration with other students. Studio Theatre: A Class Act (Helen Hayes Award nomination), Caroline or Change, Reefer Madness, (Helen Hayes Award nomination); Ford’s: Elmer Gantry, 1776, A Christmas Carol; Round House: A Year with Frog and Toad (Helen Hayes Award nomination); MetroStage: Musical of Musicals (Helen Hayes Award nomination); The Kennedy Center: The Happy Prince, The Flea and the Professor; Signature: 20 shows including Titanic, Disney's Freaky Friday, La Cage aux Folles (Helen Hayes Award), and Spin (Helen Hayes Award). He is an artistic associate at Olney Theatre where he was nominated for Helen Hayes Awards in The Sound of Music and Annie. He has directed and choreographed across the nation and received the 2013, 2014, 2017 Helen Hayes Award.
