This course applies the concepts of Meisner Technique I to a variety of scripted scenes. Students will learn how to approach a text, make active choices, and live (engage) truthfully in the imaginary circumstances. Prerequisite: Meisner Technique I, or other Meisner experience and permission of the instructor.

Madeleine Regina
Madeleine Regina (she/they) is a Director, Actor, and Audio Drama Artist local to the DMV. In Audio Drama, Madeleine is most known for Co-Producing Feminist Fairytales on the Realm network, which was featured on BBC Podcast Radio Hour and nominated for an International Women’s Podcast Award. Other audio credits include: The Sheridan Tapes-Director, Paperless Pulp: Vox Elysium- Showrunner/Director, Tales of the Echowood- Director, Shelterwood- Co-Director. As a performer, Madeleine most recently appeared on stage reading poetry at The French Embassy, as Bubbles at Awesome Con, and puppeteering “Alice in Wonderland” at The Puppet Co. Madeleine was in 1st Stage's production of "How the Light Gets In" (Kat) which was nominated for Best Ensemble and Best Production Helen Hayes Awards. She is a teacher and director with The Theatre Lab’s adult and Life Stories programs, where she helps people of many life experiences find their love of acting and share their stories. Madeleine is currently a Director in Residence at 1st Stage and directing "Dr. Moloch" for Flying V this fall.
