Our fun and fast-paced introduction to what acting is all about. For anyone who’s ever wanted to give acting a try, or those who haven’t done it since that one time in high school, this class is designed for newcomers of all kinds. Students will be introduced to all the fundamental skills, plus the basics of auditioning and “the business of the business.” Taken together or in succession, this course and Beginning Scene Study constitute essential training in the basics of the actor’s craft.

Jacob Yeh is a proud alumnus of The Theatre Lab's Honors Conservatory Alum (Class of 2008) and a professional actor in DC who's performed in over 60 productions on stages throughout the DC metro area including Signature Theatre, Studio Theatre, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Arena Stage, Folger Theatre, Ford's Theatre, Washington Stage Guild, Theater J, 1st Stage Theatre, Prologue Theatre, Keegan Theatre, The Hub Theatre, Spooky Action Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, Synetic Theatre, Constellation Theatre, NextStop Theatre, Imagination Stage, Adventure Theatre, The Welders, 4615 Theatre, & dog & pony DC, among others, where he has garnered 10 Helen Hayes Award Nominations (4 individual, 6 ensemble).
