Designed for students with considerable musical theatre experience, this class addresses musical theatre performance issues from an advanced standpoint. Taught by one of Washington’s most popular and award-winning performers, students will be encouraged to challenge themselves in their weekly preparation, address weaknesses, and expand on current strengths. Classes are kept small to ensure every person receives extensive personalized feedback from instructors and meaningful collaboration with other students. Sherri L. Edelen - actress/teacher over 25 years. Recent Credits: Arena Stage (Dave, Vanya/Spike, My Fair Lady, Ann), The Humans (Olney Theatre Center), Copenhagen (Theatre J), Romeo and Juliet (Folger Theatre), Outside Mullingar (Fusion Theatre Company), Gypsy (Signature Theatre). Other Venues: Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre, Olney Theatre, Ford’s Theatre, Round House Theatre, Rep Stage, two national tours. Awards: Helen Hayes (Les Miserables, Side Show - Signature Theatre). Barrymore Award (The Light in the Piazza - Philadelphia Theatre Company).
