Laquavia Alston
In this four-week workshop, students will explore what goes into creating a character’s look for the stage. They will learn the fundamentals of costume and makeup design and gain hands-on experience developing a character’s visual style. Students will experiment with stage makeup techniques on themselves and explore how costumes, makeup, and design choices can help bring a character to life. This workshop is a great opportunity for students interested in theatre who want to explore the creative elements of production beyond performance.

* Note: Small class sizes are a fundamental part of our learning philosophy at The Theatre Lab. Classes are kept small to ensure every child receives extensive individual attention from instructors and meaningful socialization with other students. If a class is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist, and we will contact you if a spot becomes available!
At The Theatre Lab, we believe that theatre education should be accessible to all. We strive to offer as much need-based financial aid as possible. If attending our courses at full price would be difficult for you, we encourage you to apply for assistance here.
