Techniques for interpreting lyrics, connecting to the character you’re singing to, committing to the circumstances, making strong movement choices, and using your voice to maximum effect. For every singer who acts and every actor who sings.

Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure every person receives extensive personalized feedback from instructors and meaningful collaboration with other students. Prerequisites or Prior Experience

No formal prerequisites are necessary, but students should have the ability to prepare a solo for presentation and to acquire sheet music for an accompanist.

Studio Theatre: A Class Act (Helen Hayes Award nomination), Caroline or Change, Reefer Madness, (Helen Hayes Award nomination); Ford’s: Elmer Gantry, 1776, A Christmas Carol; Round House: A Year with Frog and Toad (Helen Hayes Award nomination); MetroStage: Musical of Musicals (Helen Hayes Award nomination); The Kennedy Center: The Happy Prince, The Flea and the Professor; Signature: 20 shows including Titanic, Disney's Freaky Friday, La Cage aux Folles (Helen Hayes Award), and Spin (Helen Hayes Award). He is an artistic associate at Olney Theatre where he was nominated for Helen Hayes Awards in The Sound of Music and Annie.
