DRAMATHON 2026

Jacquel Tomlin

About the Performer

Jacquel is a Virgina-based actor, playwright, director and producer. Her passion for the dramatic arts originated not in traditional performance spaces, but rather within her own home, where she recreated shows and portray every character herself. She channeled her creativity into designing scenes, crafting props, and inventing imaginative narratives inspired by everyday experiences. At that time, she did not fully recognize the connection between her imaginative play and the broader world of the arts; also, instead of memorizing lines, she developed original scripts and scenes. Jacquel is thrilled to continue her artistic journey at The Theatre Lab while supporting the awesome task of raising funds for the Send a Kid to Theatre Camp campaign.

About the Dramathon

The Dramathon is DC’s exhilarating, one-of-a-kind theatrical extravaganza, bringing together some of DC’s most acclaimed actors, directors, and playwrights for a one-night-only live show of world-premiere short plays.

Part theatrical showcase, part fundraising challenge, Dramathon performers participate in great theatre for a great cause. All funds from the event benefit The Theatre Lab’s Send a Kid to Camp initiative, which provides need-based scholarships to children and teens for The Theatre Lab’s renowned summer programs.
