In this dance and movement class, kids explore the exciting worlds of hip hop and jazz through fun, high-energy choreography. Students learn dance techniques while building rhythm, coordination, and stage presence. Each class combines movement and performance skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. Kids gain confidence as they express themselves and connect with the music from some of their favorite shows. No prior experience required.

* Note: Small class sizes are a fundamental part of our learning philosophy at The Theatre Lab. Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure every child receives extensive individual attention from instructors and meaningful socialization with other students. If a class is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist, and we will contact you if a spot becomes available.

Annual memberships cost only $70 per year and also include discounted tickets to all Theatre Lab performances. Membership discounts do not apply to summer or spring break camps tuition. Becca Berman
Becca Berman is a dancer, choreographer, and musical theater enthusiast who loves making dance accessible and fun for everyone! Becca has taught classes in jazz, musical theater, ballet, modern, and contemporary dance for over eight years and trained pre-professionally in these forms for over fifteen years. She graduated from Princeton University in 2023 with a minor in dance, where she directed four student dance performances and received the university's highest choreography award. Currently, Becca teaches dance and musical theater classes around Washington, D.C. with The Theatre Lab, Theater J, Ballet Petite, and Tommie Shaw & Company. She works to build off the unique strengths of every student in her instruction and choreography, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to shine! Her goal is to inspire young artists to grow their confidence and tell stories through movement.
