The Theatre Lab’s 13th Annual Dramathon
The Theatre Lab’s Dramathon is back – in person! This is the most exciting, exhilarating performance of the year, as students and friends of The Theatre Lab perform staged readings of world-premiere short plays alongside generous professional actors. The plays are written by professional playwrights and staged by professional directors, all of whom are donating their talents specifically for this one-night show. All proceeds go to youth scholarships to our summer programs.
The Dramathon is just like a walk-a-thon but, instead of getting friends to support you as you walk a distance course, this time around they’ll support you to “walk the boards” alongside some of Washington’s best-known actors. To earn your spot in the limelight, you just need to raise a minimum of $100 in support of our Send a Kid to Theatre Camp campaign. We’ll help you do it, with a dedicated page on our website where friends and family can support your participation.
This year’s Dramathon will take place in person at 7:30pm on April 29 at the home of The Theatre Lab (900 Massachusetts Ave NW). It’s free to watch. If you’re not participating yourself, you can donate to your favorite performers ahead of the event and help The Theatre Lab continue to transform lives through theatre education.
