Overview
Estill Voice Training® (EVT), the popular vocal skill methodology practiced around the world, is for anyone who wants to understand and improve their speaking or singing voice—actors, singers, storytellers, businesspeople, etc. No matter what your background or vocal goals, this intro to EVT will give you essential tools for understanding and improving your voice in just one hour a week. The skills developed in this online course will help you add strength, clarity, stamina and color to your voice. Participants will be given the chance to apply what they learn to individual spoken text or song repertoire.

* Note: Small class sizes are a fundamental part of our training philosophy at The Theatre Lab. Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure every person receives extensive personalized feedback from instructors and meaningful collaboration with other students. Prerequisites or Prior Experience
No formal prerequisites are necessary. Students who take this class typically have some background experience in singing, acting, and/or have taken one of the following classes at The Theatre Lab:
- Intro to Acting*
- Beginning Scene Study*
* Note: For new students with no prior acting experience, we recommend starting with Intro to Acting, and then taking Beginning Scene Study, for our essential training in the basics of acting.

Instructor

Steve Quintilian
Steve Quintilian (he/him) has been privileged to share his knowledge of voice with vocal professionals from the worlds of theatre, opera, education, voiceover, and business through Estill courses, private coaching, and courses at The Theatre Lab. He is an actor, musician and director, performing in and around Maryland, DC and Virginia, and beyond. He teaches private lessons in Takoma Park and online, and was recently awarded an artist’s development grant by Montgomery County for his voice studio. He is the co-director of Encore Theater Company in Takoma Park, MD. Training: BA in music from Towson University; Estill Voice International (Estill Master Trainer); Theatre Lab Honors Acting Conservatory.

He has a BA in music from Towson University, and is a graduate of the Theatre Lab Honors Acting Conservatory.
