Kathryn O’Sullivan is a playwright, fiction author, filmmaker, and theatre educator. Her short plays and stories have been published in numerous anthologies. She is the author of several mystery novels and co-author of a science fiction thriller which won the 2023 IPPY Bronze Medal Award for Science Fiction. Film credits include the award-winning documentary, Bicentennial Bonsai: Emissaries of Peace (May 2024 broadcast premiere, Maryland Public Television), the crime feature, A Savage Nature, and the Western web series, Thurston. She earned her MFA in playwriting from Carnegie Mellon University. She is recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in Playwriting, professor emerita of theatre at Northern Virginia Community College, and member of The Dramatists Guild, Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters in Crime. www.kathrynosullivan.com
