Online Scene Study
ONLINE CLASS: For students at all levels – especially those who miss scene work in this time of isolation! Some people worry that scene study cannot be done effectively online, but it can, and this course was designed with distance learning in mind. Students will be paired according to experience level, and will receive feedback appropriate to their own stage of development. Rehearsal via videoconference outside of class time will be required.

Online Class requirements (Zoom Meetings): You will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera (built-in or plug-in), speakers, microphone (or telephone), and a broadband internet connection (1 mbs/sec or greater). Courses will not be recorded. Students must attend during scheduled meeting times.
Marietta Hedges is an actress, director and teacher. She is associate professor of acting at Catholic University and Head of the MFA Acting Program. She has worked as an actress in theatre, film and television in London, China, New York, San Francisco, and the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. Marietta played the role of Karen in the HBO award-winning film Money Matters. She originated the roles of slain civil rights worker Viola Liuzzo and KKK infiltrator and FBI informant Gary Thomas Rowe in the solo show Selma ’65 which premiered at La MaMa, Etc., in NYC in 2014, and subsequently toured the country in 2015. This past summer, 2018, Marietta worked with the Living Theater in NYC and performed her own written work in Roundstone, Ireland.
