Due to overwhelming response, we have a waitlist for anyone still interested in raising money and getting on stage. Please email marketing@theatrelab.org if you would like to raise funds and be in line to join the performers in case an opening comes up.

You can once again join some of DC's most talented professional actors in world premiere readings of terrific short plays – and all for a great cause! The Theatre Lab's seventh annual Dramathon happens Monday, June 12, at 7:30 pm. We’re moving this year to the home of our friends at the Washington Stage Guild (900 Massachusetts Ave NW).

Each year for the Dramathon, some of DC’s best professional actors, directors, and playwrights donate their time and efforts in support of our Send a Kid to Theatre Camp campaign, which raises funds for our youth scholarship program to allow them to attend summer theatre camp. You can join the stars on stage by raising money, and the more money you raise, the more (and better) roles you get! Note: You must raise a minimum of $100 by May 29 to participate. Our goal this year is to fund scholarships for more than 110 children - which we can make happen with help from you and folks that contribute to your efforts like friends, family, coworkers, etc.  Open to anyone 16 and older.

Just take a look at some of the generous and generously talented actors that will be joining us this year: Deb Gottesman, James J. Johnson, Michael KramerDeidra LaWan Starnes, Jefferson A. Russell, Michael Russotto, Kim Schraf, and Holly Twyford. They’ll read plays from playwrights Audrey Cefaly, Ally Currin, Annalisa Diaz, Sarah Marshall, Elizabeth Pringle, Deb Sivigny, Elan Zafir, and Laura Zam. The readings will be directed by Randy Baker, Bill Largess, Dot Neumann, and Clare Shaffer.
